FORNOFF ELECTRIC INTRODUCES $10,000 EARTH DAY ESSAY CONTEST
(Westlake Village, CA) April 22, 2010 marks the nation’s 40th Annual Earth Day celebration and Fornoff Electric locally is tying in with its Earth Day Essay Contest that features energy-saving prizes valued at nearly $10,000. Essay entries of 100 to 500 words will be accepted April 22 through May 22, 2010 and will be judged by a Blue Ribbon panel of local business people and news media.
Mark Fornoff, owner and president of Fornoff Electric, said, “We wanted to draw more attention to Earth Day and the fact that we all need to conserve energy to save money and our planet. What better way than to have homeowners in the Conejo Valley tell us why it is important to them? We’ll reward 10 people with some outstanding energy saving devices with a total value of some $10,000 that we’ll install in their homes at no charge.”
Fornoff added that the essays should focus on the importance of preserving the environment and why the entrant believes he or she should receive the contest’s energy-saving, cost-saving electrical prizes for their home.
Entries can be made online at www.fornoffelectric.com and clicking on “Essay Contest” on the website. Contest rules are posted and a section is provided to submit the 100- to 500-word essays.
